Biography

Daniel Freedman, D.O., is a board-certified pediatric neurologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s who specializes in epilepsy. He is also director of the Dell Children's Psychogenic Nonepileptic Events Clinic. He is a 2023 recipient of the Dell Medical School Child Neurology Faculty Resident Teaching Award.

Freedman received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his pediatric and child neurology residencies at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he also completed a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy management.

Freedman joined Dell Children’s in 2020. His clinical interests include neurology education, epilepsy, difficult-to-treat seizures and psychogenic nonepileptic events. He has an interest in advocacy for neurology and epilepsy patients.
