Biography

Kari Nations, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist in UT Medicine’s Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center. She specializes in ­­­evaluating cognitive health and mental well-being, assessing areas such as memory, problem-solving, thinking speed, emotional health, and how symptoms of illness may affect daily life.

Dr. Nations earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California San Diego and both her master’s degree in clinical psychology and her doctorate degree in clinical psychology and neuropsychology from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed an internship in neuropsychology at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Medical Center and a fellowship in mood disorders research at The University of Texas at Austin. She also completed post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Nations’ previously served as Senior Vice President of Central Nervous System (CNS) Clinical Development and Department Head of Clinical Surveillance and Training at Syneos Health. Her research focuses on developing new treatments for psychiatric and neurological diseases.
