Biography

Michael Donovan is a research scientist in Linda Noble’s group. His research interests include the interplay between neurogenesis and the gut microbiome in mediating the effects of childhood traumatic brain injury on lifelong affective and social behaviors.

Before joining Dell Medical School, Donovan completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco where his research pertained to the impact on hypothalamic serotonin on energy balance and stress response pathways. He received a doctorate from UT Southwestern, studying the regulation of adult hippocampal neurogenesis by various drugs and disease models.
