Rosalia Costello, Psy.D.

Biography

Rosalia Costello, Psy.D., is a pediatric neuropsychologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s. She completes comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents and young adults with drug-resistant epilepsy who may be candidates for neurosurgery. Costello also conducts assessments for youth with various other medical conditions, including spina bifida, autoimmune encephalopathy and genetic conditions.

Costello completed both her Master of Arts and her Doctor of Psychology in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from Adler University. She later completed a predoctoral internship in pediatric neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital. 

Costello’s research focuses on health disparities and bilingual brain development in pediatric medical populations and has presented locally, nationally and internationally. She is a member at large on the board of directors for the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society and serves on the organization New 2 Neuropsychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 40, the Association of Neuropsychology Students and Trainees, the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology Diversity and Pediatric Special Interest Group, the International Neuropsychological Society Cultural/Pediatric Special Interest Group and the Queer Neuropsychological Society.
